Coaches/Trainers
Patrick Aragon - Head Coach/Trainer
Patrick’s journey as a coach began early, working with his own son at the U6 levels. He transitioned to the higher age groups, creating a developmental team in transition to competitive soccer, and then quickly evolved as his ability to connect with young players and build confidence became evident.
Last year he led the U9 Black team into their first year in competitive competition. The team found great success in the Fall within the GCF league, going 8-1-1. With a major emphasis on development, the team went to 3 tournaments in the fall as well, and decided to move up to the EDP league this Spring. So far, with greater competition, the team has continued to be successful. This group has thrived at skill development, team building, and work ethic.
In the past year, the team has competed in five tournaments overall, and has had a strong league performance, losing only two league matches throughout the season. While the results have been encouraging, the primary focus of the program continues to be player development rather than simply winning games.
Patrick’s coaching philosophy centers on hard work, confidence, and repetition. At this age, the goal is to balance positive reinforcement, fun, and structured skill development. Players grow across multiple areas:
Technical development through consistent, scaffolded skill training
Mental development through positive coaching and confidence building
Decision-making by encouraging players to trust both themselves and their teammates
Work ethic begins at practice, is reinforced through positive families, and is celebrated through winning. Patrick is supported by a wonderful team of coaches, including Assistant Coach Kendra and training support from Coach Juan, providing different looks for the players and keeping practices both challenging and dynamic.
The team trains 2–3 times per week year-round, including summer sessions designed to keep players engaged, improving, and preparing for upcoming competitive seasons. Practices emphasize high tempo, repetition, and game-like decision making.
To further support development, the team utilizes a Veo camera system that allows games to be broadcast live and recorded. Players can review their own highlights and game footage, helping them better understand positioning, decision-making, and overall gameplay. The technology also allows family members to watch matches live when they cannot attend in person.
This program is designed for players who love the game, want to work hard, and are excited to develop their skills in a positive, competitive environment.
