Coaching/Team Philosophy
- As the top team in our age at IYSA, we play at a high level of competition to continually challenge and develop the kids.
- We have a passion for both the kids and soccer. We train hard to develop talent but also realize these are kids and we incorporate fun. The team focuses on providing a competitive environment where kids can excel. Because of our love of the sport, we provide practices all year long (okay to miss for vacations, etc in off-season) and have found that parents appreciate this option and that the kids’ development excels with this approach. We also utilize a Veo camera to analyze the game (or for parents to watch if they are unable to attend). We spend a lot of time together on and off the field, and hope the kids develop lasting friendships. Because we are a close knit team, there are always parents willing to help out in carpooling if a need arises.
- We believe communication and transparency are important so have one-on-ones with each family 2-3x/year (or whenever requested). We use this time to align on expectations, check in on progress, identify areas for improvement, and any other concerns. Please reach out if you have any questions about our team.
- If you are considering if this is a good fit for your child, we encourage you to come to tryouts and see for yourself!
