Michael Gray, Head Coach/Trainer

Michael grew up in Oklahoma and started playing competitive soccer at a young age.  He has traveled from Florida to California and all throughout the southern US playing in competitive tournaments throughout his life.  He was MVP of his high school team and also helped bring home the state championship for this competitive team.  Michael finished out playing at the collegiate level before retiring his cleats as a player.
Michael has a strong passion for kids as well as soccer.  He has enjoyed helping to develop not only his children but has had an impact on many other players at IYSA.  His goal is to not only develop players physically and technically but to help create smart players with mental toughness that will excel at high levels of competitive soccer.

Martin Garcia, Coach/Trainer

Martin grew up in Brevard County where he developed his passion for the sport, playing comp soccer from a young age.  As a sophomore in high school, he was named to the Florida All-State Team as a goalkeeper.  During his senior year, Martin helped lead Melbourne Central Catholic to their first State Championship, securing penalty kick wins in the semifinal and final.  He went on to play club soccer for University of Florida, and men's soccer in Miami, Austin, and now back in Melbourne.

Martin continues to have an immense passion for the game, which he loves to share with the kids.  He has coached U6 rec and U10 comp for IYSA.  His 4 children play for the club, so Martin spends the better part of his life at the soccer fields. His passion for staying active led him to become a Physical Therapist.  He is owner of Melbourne Beach Physical Therapy and works with IYSA players to keep them playing the sport they love.

Trey Collins - Technical Trainer

Trey has deep roots within our local soccer community as a player, coach, and brand founder of GBED. He grew up playing at the highest levels of the game while captaining his club team to a State Cup Championship and South East Regional Final 4. He also captained Mel High to back to back state championships in 2009 and 2010. He received a full ride to Jacksonville University before transferring to Florida Tech where he earned the honors of 1st team All American.

More recently, he has played 4 years in the USL/USL-2. This past year he founded and captains Harbor City FC in USL-2.

Trey is the head coach of Melbourne High School and is one of the most sought after youth trainers around.

Team & Coaching:
This is a very fun group of kids that enjoy each other and the sport.  They have a strong fighting spirit and are developing the mental toughness needed to win high level games.  It is a joy to watch them come alive and play quality soccer.  They all are building up their technical skills and confidence as players and meshing well as a team.  We focus on playing smart soccer on and off the ball.  It is important to make quick and effective decisions and to stay confident in high pressure situations.  Our training sessions are designed to be fun but intense with quick rotations to physically challenge the players while getting as many touches on the ball as possible.  We are building well rounded players that have the speed, conditioning, ball control skills, positional awareness, defensive & attacking strategic ability, shooting strength, and strong group playing ability necessary to compete with the best players and teams in Florida.
