Dear IYSA family,

We hope the spring season is off to a good start for everyone. It is great to see so many families on the fields; we are at a record number of players with over 480 kids in both rec and comp this season! By all accounts everyone is having a good time, making new friends and developing their skills.

Believe it or not, competitive tryouts for the 2017/2018 season will begin in April and conclude in May. For those players and parents currently playing rec, now is the time to start thinking about comp soccer and whether or not is a good fit for you. In the coming weeks we will have an informational meeting at the fields about comp soccer as it relates to cost, commitment, age groups, etc… Please be on the lookout for the date and time of this meeting. In the meantime, please feel free to email our comp coordinator Tim Wright IYSACOMPSOCCER@gmail.com with any questions at all. Rec coaches, if you are interested in coaching comp soccer, please email Tim as well.

On Thursday, March 23rd , Sports Medicine Specialist Dr. David Dominguez and his staff along with therapists from Harbor City Physical Therapy will be at the fields before, during and after practice. These professionals will discuss common sports injuries and any questions you might have. We encourage all players and parents to stop by. All those who do will be entered into a raffle for Orlando City Soccer tickets!!
